Copyright and Permitted Classroom Use

1. Ownership

Empowered Maths resources, text, designs, illustrations, branding and downloadable files are protected by copyright and other intellectual property rights. Unless a resource states otherwise, these rights belong to Katrina Mardell or are used with permission.

2. What an individual member may do

An active individual member may download, save and print resources for their own professional teaching or home-education use. You may provide printed copies to the students you personally teach, display a resource during your own lesson, and adapt lesson delivery or student instructions to meet learner needs.

You may retain resources downloaded while your membership was active for the permitted use described here, subject to these terms and any specific notice on the resource.

3. What is not permitted

You must not share your account or original digital files; email or upload files for colleagues, other families or an entire school; place files in a shared drive, learning-management system, public website or social-media group accessible beyond your own students; sell, sublicense or redistribute resources; remove copyright notices or branding; claim the work as your own; or use substantial parts to make a competing commercial resource.

4. Online and remote teaching

You may share a resource privately with the students you personally teach where access is limited to that class and the resource is removed when it is no longer needed. Do not place downloadable files on a publicly accessible page or in a whole-school repository.

5. Schools, teams and relief teachers

An individual membership does not provide a shared staff licence. A colleague or relief teacher may use printed materials already prepared for your class while covering that class, but may not keep or reuse the original digital file for their own classes. Contact us to discuss broader school or team use.

6. Student work and classroom photographs

You may photograph or share student work created from a resource where you have the required permissions and comply with your school’s privacy rules. Please credit Empowered Maths when the underlying resource is clearly visible. Do not publish the complete resource or enough pages for another person to reconstruct it.

7. Questions and permissions

If your intended use is not clearly covered, request written permission before sharing or publishing. Email katrinamardell@empoweredtuition.com.au with the resource title, intended audience and proposed use.
